This Privacy Policy explains how YOMI AI INC. ("YOMI AI", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you use the Cloudo mobile application, our websites and any related services (together, the "Service").
Cloudo is an entertainment application based on traditional Chinese metaphysical traditions (BaZi / Four Pillars charting and Liu Yao divination) combined with AI-generated commentary. Please read this Policy together with our Terms of Use.
Contact: If you have any question about this Policy or about your personal information, email us at support@yomiai.net. We respond to privacy requests within 30 days.
1. Scope of this Policy
This Policy applies to personal information we process as a controller (or "business", under U.S. state privacy laws) through the Service. It does not apply to third-party services that we do not control, such as the Apple App Store, which handle your information under their own privacy policies.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide to us
- Account information. An email address and password, or an Apple account identifier if you use Sign in with Apple (including Apple’s Private Relay address if you choose to hide your email). We do not receive your Apple password.
- Profile and birth information. A display name or nickname, and the date of birth, time of birth, place of birth and gender that you enter. This information is required to calculate a BaZi chart; without it the core feature of the Service cannot function.
- Profiles of other people. If you create a chart for another person, you provide that person’s name (or a label) and birth details. You must have that person’s permission before entering their information — see Section 8.
- Questions, chat messages and divination inputs. The questions you ask our AI guide, the topics you select, and the results of in-app divination actions (for example the shake-based Liu Yao casting).
- Support and feedback. Messages, attachments and contact details you send when you contact support, report a problem or leave feedback.
2.2 Purchase information
- All payments for subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your card number, bank details or billing address.
- We receive from Apple and from our subscription-management provider a transaction identifier, the product purchased, purchase and expiry dates, subscription status, and the country of the store account, so that we can unlock the features you paid for and prevent fraud.
- Your in-app credit balance and the record of how credits were spent within the Service.
2.3 Information collected automatically
- Device and app data: device model, operating system version, app version, language and region settings, time zone, and a randomly generated installation or device identifier used to keep you signed in.
- Usage data: the features and screens you use, the reports you open, the time and duration of sessions, and interaction events used to improve the Service.
- Diagnostics: crash reports, error logs and performance data.
- IP address, which our servers necessarily receive to deliver a response and which we also use for approximate (country/region level) location, security and fraud prevention.
2.4 Information we do NOT collect
We do not collect precise GPS location, your contacts, your photo library, your calendar, your microphone or camera input, your health or fitness data, or your financial account data. We do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), we do not serve third-party advertising, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Accordingly, we do not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt because we do not engage in tracking as Apple defines it.
3. Sensitive information
Birth details and the questions you ask a divination service can reveal personal circumstances such as your relationships, work situation, family or state of mind. We treat this content as confidential. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not disclose it except as described in Section 6.
Where the law of your jurisdiction (for example the EU/UK GDPR) treats any information you volunteer as a special category of personal data, we process it only on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give by choosing to enter that information, and which you may withdraw at any time by deleting the relevant profile, conversation or your account.
Please do not enter information you would not want stored — including government identification numbers, financial account details, passwords, or the medical, legal or immigration details of yourself or of any other person. The Service does not need this information and it is not required for any feature.
4. How we use your information, and our legal bases
- To provide the Service — to create your account, calculate charts, generate readings and reports, run divination features, maintain your conversation history across devices and apply your credit balance. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- To operate AI features — to send your question, chart data and the relevant context to our AI providers so that a response can be generated. Legal basis: performance of our contract; consent where required.
- To manage subscriptions and purchases — to verify receipts, unlock entitlements, handle upgrades, downgrades and cancellations. Legal basis: performance of our contract; compliance with tax and accounting obligations.
- To provide customer support — to respond to your messages and investigate issues you report. Legal basis: performance of our contract; our legitimate interest in supporting our users.
- To maintain security and prevent abuse — to detect fraud, credit-farming, automated access, and violations of our Terms of Use. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the Service and its users.
- To improve and develop the Service — to analyse aggregated or de-identified usage, fix bugs and measure the quality of features. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving our product.
- To send service communications — transactional emails and, if you enable them, push notifications such as a daily reading reminder. You may turn push notifications off at any time in your device settings. Legal basis: performance of our contract; consent for optional notifications.
- To comply with law — to meet legal, regulatory, tax, audit or law-enforcement obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Legal basis: legal obligation; legitimate interest.
We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects concerning you. AI-generated readings are entertainment content and are not decisions about you.
5. AI processing of your content
To generate readings and conversational replies, we transmit the necessary content — typically your question, your calculated chart data and a limited amount of recent conversation context — to third-party large-language-model providers acting as our processors. Under the enterprise/API terms we use, these providers process the content only to return a response to us and do not use it to train their general-purpose models.
AI output is generated automatically, may be inaccurate or inconsistent, and is provided for entertainment only. See our Terms of Use.
6. When we disclose information
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We disclose personal information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers (processors) who work on our behalf under written contracts limiting their use of the data, namely: our cloud database, authentication and storage provider; our AI model providers; our subscription-management and receipt-validation provider; our mobile build, update and crash-reporting provider; our email and customer-support tooling; and our analytics provider.
- Apple, in connection with App Store distribution, in-app purchases, Sign in with Apple and push notification delivery.
- Legal and safety disclosures — where we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena or other legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of YOMI AI, our users or the public.
- Corporate transactions — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honour this Policy and will notify you of any material change.
- With your direction — for example if you choose to share or export a reading.
7. International transfers
YOMI AI INC. is established in the United States and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or another jurisdiction with data-transfer restrictions, your information may be transferred to countries that do not provide an equivalent level of protection. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum) together with supplementary technical and organisational measures. You may request a copy of the relevant safeguards by emailing support@yomiai.net.
8. Information about other people
If you enter the birth details of another person to create a chart for them, you confirm that you have that person’s informed consent (or, for a minor in your care, that you have the authority to do so). You are responsible for the lawfulness of information about third parties that you submit. If a person asks us to delete information you entered about them, we will do so on request to support@yomiai.net after reasonable verification.
9. Data retention
- Account, profile and chart data: retained while your account is active. When you delete your account, this data is deleted from our production systems immediately and purged from encrypted backups within 30 days.
- Conversations and generated reports: retained while your account is active, or until you delete the individual conversation or report.
- Purchase and transaction records: retained for as long as required by tax, accounting and audit law (typically up to 7 years), in a limited form that does not include the content of your readings.
- Security, abuse and diagnostic logs: retained for up to 12 months.
- Aggregated or de-identified data that can no longer be linked to you may be retained indefinitely.
10. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for our databases and backups, row-level access controls that restrict each user’s data to that user, access controls and least-privilege for our staff, and regular patching of our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and the relevant regulators where required by law.
11. Your rights and choices
11.1 In-app controls
- Edit or delete a profile or chart at any time from within the app.
- Delete individual conversations from the chat history.
- Delete your account and all associated data from within the app — go to Me → Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account permanently removes your profiles, charts, conversations and reports. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription: you must cancel it in your Apple ID subscription settings.
- Manage push notifications in your device settings.
11.2 Rights you can exercise by contacting us
Subject to your jurisdiction and to verification of your identity, you may have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; receive a portable copy; correct inaccurate information; delete your information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing already carried out); and lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Email support@yomiai.net with the subject line "Privacy Request". We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
11.3 EEA / UK users (GDPR)
YOMI AI INC. is the controller of your personal information. The legal bases on which we rely are set out in Section 4. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country of residence.
11.4 California users (CCPA/CPRA)
In the past 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 2 — identifiers, customer records, commercial information, internet or other electronic network activity, approximate geolocation derived from IP address, and inferences or other content you voluntarily provide — for the business purposes described in Section 4, from the sources described in Section 2, and disclosed them to the categories of recipients described in Section 6. We have not sold personal information and have not shared it for cross-context behavioural advertising in the past 12 months, and we do not do so. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. California residents may exercise their rights to know, delete, correct, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes requiring an opt-out) by emailing support@yomiai.net, and may use an authorised agent with written proof of authorisation.
11.5 Other U.S. states
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon and Montana) may exercise equivalent rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and opt-out, and may appeal a decision by replying to our response. We will inform you of the outcome of an appeal within the period required by your state’s law.
12. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children. You must be at least 13 years old (and at least 16 in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and any other jurisdiction that sets a higher digital-consent age, unless a parent or guardian has consented) to create an account, and at least 18 years old — or otherwise of legal age in your jurisdiction — to make a purchase. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below these ages. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. A parent or guardian who believes that a child has provided us with personal information should contact support@yomiai.net.
13. Third-party links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above and give notice within the app or by email before the change takes effect. Where the change requires it, we will ask for your consent. Continuing to use the Service after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Policy.
